Dear Holiday Decorators,

 

              The 2007 holiday season may seem like light-years away, but the truth is that there are less than 90 days until Christmas. If you are in this trade commercially you are sure to know that preparations for the holiday season need to be made now. Not in November, or December.  Some of you may ask why?   1. If your group uses a heavy amount of product to decorate homes, professional buildings and municipalities, you are sure to know that product will be much less available if you wait for your local Wal-Mart or Target to fully stock up for the season.

 

  1. If the big box stores are simply your supply source, you are aware that you must purchase what they have in stock. This includes only the bulb colors or string sizes and/or decorations that they plan to carry for the season.  If you fall short of the necessary quantity needed to finish your project, you’ll need to contact all the other big box stores in your area and keep your fingers crossed that they will have in stock what is required to complete your job

 

  1. These stores do not care if you are buying 10 pieces or 10,000 pieces. The price is usually the same regardless. In fact they don’t like to see you deplete their inventory by “taking it all”, because the store tends to satisfy less overall consumers that way.
